Comprehensive Mock Surveys: Simulating the process(es) used by the
surveyors. Option for a written assessment and tool for developing pre and post survey
actions plans.
Preparation for Joint Commission, including hospital, ambulatory
care, long term care, and home care; and NCQA. Preparation includes readiness assessments,
and/or education and training.
Quality Improvement Program and Process Design: Development of
systems and processes related to Performance Improvement, Safety, Infection Control, and
Utilization Management.
Outcomes Measurement: Development of indicators and screens that
will produce useful and meaningful data and meet accreditation and regulatory
requirements. Development include identification of meaningful indicators to monitor the
functional standards of JCAHO. Facilitation and development of case management models
including the development of critical pathways and variance systems to produce outcome
data for improvement.
Medical Staff Services: Medical Staff Committee redesign that
maximizes medical staff time, yet ensures leadership and participation. Credentialing
assessments and design of appointment and reappointment processes and forms that meet
accreditation standards and requirements. Review and revision of medical staff bylaws and
rules and regulations.
Policy and Procedure Development: Customized plans, policies and
procedures that will meet accreditation standards, yet eliminate or reduce the volumes of
paperwork. These include key documents required by JCAHO: Plan for the Provision of Care,
Recruitment and Retention Plan, Patient Rights and Organizational Ethics policies,
Restraint and Seclusion policy and protocol, Organizational Transfer policy and forms that
meet Cobra requirements, and Case Management Guidelines or Interdisciplinary Care Plan.
Education and Training: Facilitator Training CCustomized to provide interactive learning for
facilitation of process/project improvement teams; JCAHO Standards; Quality
Improvement Awareness ----Customized to educate all levels of staff in principles
and concepts of quality improvement and the benefits of integrating these principles into
the every day work life; Governing Board of Trustee Education C Specializing in training trustees about their role
and responsibility for organizational quality; and Conflict Management
-----Identification of causes of conflict and simple, effective ways and tools to manage
and resolve conflict in the workplace; and Organizational Empowerment -----
Seminars/Presentations: Available to speak at
seminars, state association groups, etc. Will individualize any education and
training listed above to meet audience objectives or develop customized presentations for
a variety of topics.
Organizational Design and Development: Facilitation and design for
transformation of organizational cultures to integrate concepts and principles of total
quality management. Includes empowerment assessments, facilitation of process teams, team
building retreats, development of organizational vision and core values, competency
systems, and leadership and management training.
Nursing Services: Redesign of nursing
services/infrastructures, facilitate the development of self directed work teams within
nursing services, and/or the development of nursing quality programs that provide useful
and meaningful data to improve patient outcomes.
Interim Management: Provide intermin management for
vacancies in the Quality Improvement Departments or Nursing Executive position.
